Okay well M & M3 have been going to Vacation Bible School this week. The theme is very different from the other themes that we have seen at vacation bible school in the past. In fact it is called 'Paul and the Underground Church', which has a old Roman theme to it. Each day they have been coming home with a New Challenge they have to do, there are three choices and they chose one challenge to do that day at home. Well my kids apparently have their own ideas about these challenges. According to my husband he read the challenges to M and she had the following to say about each possible challenge he read, it kind of went like this according to him....
First possible challenge choice: Let someone else go ahead of you in line. They'll be amazed
M's response to this was " So I gotta let someone cut in front of me in line huh?"
Second possible challenge choice: Give a family member the biggest piece of dessert. Suprise!
M's resonse to this was " Oh I don't think so, it ain't happenin"
Third possible challenge choice: Obey your mom or dad the first time they asky you to do something
M's response to this was " Never gonna happen"
Okay I am not sure but I think she is not getting the meaning of the lessons. Well M3 had this to say when I read the challenges to him and said he should do challenge number three which was listen to his Mom and Dad the first time he said " Yeah like that is going to happen in this lifetime"...... so once again I don't really think my kids are getting the idea of the lessons at Vacation Bible School. It is actually a little concerning, I though they were good little catholic kids, and they still are... I think! Oh the smart mouth responses and us having to deal with them as parents!!

Catch Up!!!
Wow, it has been a long time since I wrote a blog entry. I thought I would play catch up and give some information on how the family is doing. M &M3 had a good school year, the first at their private school. They enjoyed it, they were very happy to have the year end though, and why wouldn't they be excited.... the second week of June we had our first big Family Vacation! We took a flight to Disney World in Florida and spent 8 days and 7 nights there. It was great... HOT, but great. We spent the first day at Hollywood Studios and realized right away we need to get there early and get fast passes, because we stood in line for a Buzz light year ride for a hour and a half!! The kids were troopers really they were, we spent the next day at Animal Kingdom and also went back to visit it again later in the week and watched the Finding Nemo Musical show... amazing and well worth it. It was great because Animal Kingdom had a wonderful parade. Epcot was good too, it had this amazing ride called Soarin that made you feel that you were flying over parts of California and the Test track was amazing, making you feel that you were in a car that is taking its first trip around the track!! Let me tell you Epcot had an amazing Fireworks show, I teared up a little as my family watched the show. My kids really had a good time and despite the heat they did really well. Finally, we went to Magic Kingdom!! What an amazing place, this is where most of the rides were and the kids had such a great time here. I was sick one of the days and had to stay in bed, I toughed it out the other days. It was crazy how the rain came in so heavy, but wonderful when it did because it cooled things down so fast. The kids meet Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Minnie, Lilo and Stitch, and Pluto along with Buzz Light Year and Woody. We purchased them a autograph book and they got all the characters to sign them, it was a blast. My husband and I are going to go back but we decided to go back in much cooler weather... perhaps March or October or November.
The in- laws went with us and it was great to have them along. I thought it was going to be to much for my father in law and that he would be gripping, but I really think he enjoyed it. He went on the really cool rides with the kids, despite his body and back taking a beating on the rides. My mother in law was great, I think she really enjoyed seeing her grandchildren having fun and being so incredibly excited. Wow, this is so much that has gone on since the trip.
Well our summers are filled with Library, dollar movies, hanging out with Grandma and doing cool summer fun crafts. Hope all is well with your summers.

UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE!!!!
Okay well it appears I have neglected my blog and I have been getting a lot of people (my sister in law Leslie) complaining about it. Well I thought since today was a horrible weather day I would give updates and post some pics. Well lets see our holidays were super, we were very blessed and it was hectic, but it worked out. The New Years was a great time as well. Grandma and Grandpa came and spent the night and we rang in the New Year all together. The kids have been doing well and had a difficult time returning to school. I of course am terrible because I still as of todays date have not put away my Christmas decorations, I know, I know shame on me! M and M3 have been doing well. M has been doing well in school as we were somewhat concerned she was not doing well, however she is doing great. We recently had M3's birthday and he turned a whopping 7 years old and of course this makes me very sad, however I am glad he had a great turn out for his party and it ran completely smooth and it was one of the best birthdays I think we have had. M recently had a bridging ceremony, what's this you say? Well this is when a Daisy girl scout crosses over to a Brownie girl scout. She is currently selling cookies if anyone is intrested. Each one is growing like crazy and it was very funny how M wanted a cell phone for X-mas because Mommy got a new one and so she wanted to know if she could have my old one. Funny I tell you, because of course there is no way at 8 years old she is going to have a cell phone. M recently left her softball team Texas Ice because she we are wanting to stick with more compeitive play and she has joined up with Batbusters 8 U team.... expect to be invited to tournaments family members... M3 is our basketball boy and he will finish his season next month and most likely take up golf if that is what he chooses. Let's see I think we have updated, updated, updated, you at this point. I make no promises as to when I write again, but here are some pics of my cuties. Oh by the way we added a new addition to our family, her name is Kasie. She is a beautiful greyhound that my husband got for Xmas this year. Love to all.

Fall Festival, over... until next year!
Well guys the Fall Festival is over. It was very overwhelming, I found it very difficult to get parents help, however the parents who did pitch in were great. My assistant room parent helped out a great deal. My sister in law was also wonderful because she came through and let our school use the stamps for face art... simple, stamp the kids face with the stamp and color it in. I was not going to volunteer again, and I still don't know because it was so chaotic, however I love my kids and most likely I will participate next year in the festival. I am so sore from walking all over the place on Saturday and exhausted. But it was for a good cause so you have to give it up for a poor soul... as my mother in law always says.

I must be Crazy!!
Okay the only thing I can do is claim temporary insanity, I mean really. I don't know what came over me, but here we are and somehow I volunteered to be the 2nd grades room parent! I know, I know, me a room parent. I think I will do okay. I have to get over the biggest hurdle which is the fall festival. Of course I have some help, which is the assistant room parent and this has taken a little load off. However, did I mention I am also on the Fall Festival committee and am helping with this years book nook and also working full time. I know women have done it before, but not to long ago I got sick because of stress and so I think back on this with some concern. Oh well, I want to be involved in my childrens education and also get to know parents so I guess this will defiantely help me in this aspect. To all of my fellow women out there, wish me luck and say lots of prayers... I am bound to need them.

More Flags, More Fun... Six Flags!!
So yesterday was a great family day. We had decided that because we could not make it to Sea World this weekend like we had planned we would take M and M3 to Six Flags. It was great. First I found tickets on Craigslist for $20 a piece and meal vouchers for $5 a piece, this was great because we spent less then we though we were going to spend. The kids loved it. First stop, Judge Roy Scream, not so bad... or so I thought. You see I do good once I get up there and then I am a pile of nothing. It is by all means one of the smallest roller coasters and I was shaking after I got off it, of course M loved it... she is a daredevil I think. M3 liked it or so he attempted to make us think he was okay, he really like the looney tunes kids area and really preferred their roller coaster. We indulged a little and purchased the flash pass, which was great because it keep us from standing in line for nearly half an hour for rides. The most we waited was probably 5 minutes at most. M loved the Superman ride and her and Daddy rode this ride 3 times and she loved it. I loved the Aquaman and it was just like old times were we all stood on the bridge and got completely soaked.... good times, good times. M3 favorite ride was the Coal Mine roller coaster and the Tony Hawk ride, he absolutely loved that ride, even thought he was scarred of pretty much all the other ones. I think it was because he couldn't let Tony down and think he was a scaredy cat. He hung tough tough and by the end of the day we were so physically exhausted that M and M3 passed out like a flash that night and Mommy and Daddy did too. Great family day.

School Days, School Days, Dear Old Golden Rule Days!
School Days, yes there back and in full swing. M and M3 got off to school the first day with a great start, no so much the second week though, but that is because cool uniforms and excitement wore off after the first week and actual school work set in. However, they seem to be having fun and learning lots. I didn't think I was going to get emotional but of course I was wrong and I was shedding a tear or two, which is weird because M3 he is going into 1st and M is going into 2nd, I have been through this... but needless to say something about school uniforms and a new school apparently brings out the blubbering in Mommy. They have been pretty good so far, we realized today that we will have to leave the house sooner then 7:30am because of the public school that has just started the other day. Bummer, some rushing. Oh well such is life. Well just thought I would show my pics of my beautiful babies. Yes, they will always be "my babies".
